Hi,

Shana here!

As a mom of four beautiful children birth is no stranger. With my first my husband and I had taken the hospital childbirth class and said good enough, but boy was I wrong! I was induced at 40 weeks due to gestational diabetes. I had many interventions that I really knew nothing about and my doctors and nurses gave no information. Me and my hard head knew I was not getting an epidural. I have absolutely nothing against, but if my childbirth class did anything it was explain what the epidural was and I wanted nothing to do with it. It was a long hard birth. This experience became my why.

Fast forward a few years a friend was having a VBAC. I offered to part of her support team and she took me up on it. Her birth confirmed everything I had been thinking and I knew I wanted to become part of the birthworker world.

Fast forward a few more years and I finally jumped in (thanks to the Lord’s nudge). I completed my certification program and officially became a Certified Doula.

I want to help women create that award winning support team. With me by your side I will help you know all about birth, create space for you to make the final call, and help you maintain your autonomy.

Can’t wait to meet you!

Love,
Your Doula
